Adrian,
Did you play all of it?
The prog jazz like working of this album, I thought you would of liked.
Get past the talking bits and it just flows.
The drumming is so good.

I played it whilst waiting for the train at Victoria on the ipod using my etymotic headphones. i listen to a lot of music that way and sound quality is pretty good. I'll try again and see if i come up with the same verdict.

Howard,
What do you think of the Fuck album?
I ordered the vinyl last year a few times but it was always out of stock.

It's OK not really my scene, but some good sounds. Analogue synths and no laptops etc. I'll probably get a copy sometime to fill a space in my genres.

I would have liked to see both, 'Joan of Arc' and 'Famous Blue Raincoat' on it. He played 'FBR' during the Sydney concert - not sure (Alzheimer Winker) if he played 'Joan' as well.

Because i woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep.

The Blue Room was a late night/early morning radio show on radio 1 hosted by Chris Cocco & Rob Da Bank and this is a small slice of their perfectly mixed lazy smooth tunes.

It both soothes me and reminds me of perfect nights catching the night bus through the half deserted streets of London as I made my way home after another great night of clubbing.

Cool

Viktoria Mullova's latest recording of Bach's sonatas and partitas for solo violin. Played on a 1750 G.B.Guadagnini violin with gut strings;
baroque bow by Walter Barbiero. A very mature reading and a wonderful recording, it is very difficult not to listen to this at the expense of whatever else may be to hand - newspaper, web, etc. Quite simply, not background listening.

As to why, I find this very therapeutic music so very welcome at the moment. Also, it is the CD that the postie delivered today.

I look forward to my copy arriving. Good to hear the good review from you Huw and I also just read an excellent write up in Gramophone. I git myself tickets last night to see her play the Brahms Violin concerto in May. Looking forward to that.
