Thanks Huw,
I bought that when it first came out, and posted it a few weeks ago, IIRC. Great stuff.
Cheers,

(Gold CD)
Didn't know there was a gold cd of this Oliver.
What's the sound like? Worth getting?

Courtney Pine - Destiny's Song and the Image of Pursuance. I haven't listened to much of CP's later stuff, but I like the early albums even if they are heavily derivative. Oddly, CP's playing on the soundtrack to Angelheart is more unique.

It's an OOP Compact Classic Disc, they don't come up that often for sale but there are some fantastic classic titles as well as a few outstanding Harry Belafonte titles. I got this one on the other forum and was fortunate enough to buy many of their titles when they first came out. The sound is very good, don't have the regular release to compare.

Ewen,
Prysm have released four albums of which this is unsurpisingly the second. If you can pick it up at those prices it is a no brainer as it is a very good CD. Their live album is worth checking out also. The band split up some years ago but I was lucky enough to see them play once in a small jazz club in Paris. A memorable evening.

Haim,
this one looks very interesting - what are your thoughts?
Cheers ... Oliver
Oliver,
It is one of my favorite ACT discs, a jazz trio recorded early morning on the water and I highly recommend it. Do you have anything by this label?

Oliver - this was rather popular with me, Stefan, Huw, Haim a few years back now. It is an extraordinary album being a live recording made outside at dawn and you can just hear the atmosphere, peace and tranquility of the bird chorus through out the recording. The music itself is very interesting and enjoyable. Well worth checking out.
