Just received this hand screened limited to 5000 copies album via the album club (cannot get that feeling from a download
), my Alt.Country/Americana collection grows.
This was recorded by the band themselves on an island in the Atlantic called Block Island and should be palyed to all Music execs to show how it should be done, superb.

Waiting for my copy to drop in the letterbox anytime soon. It has received some good reviews so await your verdict. By the way he has recruited a superb cast of musicians.

Adrian,
it's on repeat - really very good.
I listened to the vinyl version of Leucocyte earlier and all I can say is wow! It's a better pressing than New York Days, which doesn't sound shabby but needs a turn on the record cleaner, which is poor for brand new, sealed product.

The more I listen to Mark Kozelek, the more I love his music, and that has gone on for eight years now.

Thanks. I have the Leucocyte vinyl and it looks superb. Should get the Rava when released here next week.
For now, whilst I await the new Danielsson, an old one.

Is that representative of his albums?

Together with Accelerate (in the post), this completes my studio R.E.M. albums.

It is the easy end of his repertoire. Some of his earlier albums are more jazzy and better IMHO.

Just need to get more of his music.
Many thanks Jamie for the heads up to his music last year.

'Old Ramon' by Red House Painters 1997, released 2001(which has 'Void' and 'River') and 'April' by Sun Kil Moon 2008, would be the two I would recommend to start with.
