First time I see this one, Amazon doesn't list a price for this OOP CD?

you have to google it. It is only sold at her concerts i think, and she has already toured her last album. The price from memory was a couple of hundred us dollars.

cool Kuma, I have that one ( orchestra version) on vinyl as well, but I was listening to the latest 3 disc monstrosity.
I was aware the discs, but I decided not to get it.
I enjoy Orchestra version enough to get a BR ST fix.

I am not much of Vangelis fan, but the Blade Runner soundtrack is the best one I like out of what they have done. Especially Memory of Green is really a pretty score.

My sentiments exactly Harold. Over years I have only aquired the orchestral vinyl version. I was wondering whether I was alone in this. One of my favourite films.
ps are you the composer of Pavillion of Dreams?
The Pavillion of Dreams may be my second favourite recording ever, but sadly I am not the real Harold Budd, nice to know others out there know the great mans work ! ( I was not even born when that came out! When I was choosing a forum name it was either Bryan Ferry or Harold Budd so I went with the one more people may know.

Red House Painters 'Old Ramon'. One of my very favourite albums.
One of the first times I listed to it, I caught a couple of lines from the first track and was really shocked as I could not believe how misogynist they were, especially as the song was obviously such a gentle love song.
"I might knock her to the ground, But she'll come back anyhow"
When I listened to the lyrics in more detail it made sense, and was even something I had experienced. Wop-A-Din-Din is about his cat, and what sometimes happened when she slept at his feet.
Thankfully nothing about violence to women at all, and the plus of being a love song to a cat.
She's got big green eyes and a long Egyptian face
She moves across the floor at her own pace
When I'm here in bed she'll jump up on my chest
And when we lock eyes there's so much love I want to cry
She comes in near when I scratch under her ear
And she lifts her head when I kiss around her neck
We'll go to sleep when she falls along my side
And two green eyes fade to a porcelain marble white
And somehow when I sleep she'll end up at my feet
And if I roll and kick about I might knock her to the ground
But she'll come back anyhow
Ella es mi hijita, mÃs dulce que cerazas
Pura como el agua, nariz y orejas rosas
The morning comes she squints up to shield out the sun
And she'll go and lay in the warmest dusty rays
And I adore her, face she lay perfectly in place
She'll yawn and stretch and stare me down expressionless
And lay back down into her nest
And if someone calls she'll race me out the hall
When she hears the phone she she knows I'm leaving home
She don't want to be alone
And I know it's wrong that I'm gone away so long
And for her it's rough I can't be with her enough
But I'll never give her up
'repeat chours'
(Bot did the on-line lyrics site have a lot of those wrong, I have edited them. I suspect the Spanish section was close to 'My hovercraft is full of eels')

Saw him live the night of the Kings Cross fire, just a few hundred yards from it, at the Shaw Theatre. Only have a couple of his albums, his collaboration with The Cocteau Twins, and 'The Pearl'.

David,It is called " The Moon and the Melodies "
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moon_and_the_Melodies and if you like both, you will LOVE this one. The Allmusic entry for the album describes it as : a soundtrack for a dream about sleeping , with saxaphones ..." Try to find the vinyl (4AD UK ), if not get the original UK CD also on 4AD, stay away from the later U.S (Capitol), ( this goes for all Cocteaus albums as well) The recent remasters are brutal.....
cheers
