The greatest pop album of all time, IMHO. Great tunes, great lyrics - genius. Can't wait to hear this played with the BBC Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall next month.

At least one of the greatest. Cool

Very true Mark. Great call on the two that follow as well.
From a slightly later era (on 12" - just to contradict myself)

Talking Loud was an amzing label at the time - are they still in business?

Mark,
I like some of their stuff - got Speak and Spell on vinyl when it was first released. The only other album I have got is Exciter, which I haven't played for ages. Following your post,I have just put Violator on my wish list for a future visit to Amazon.

Regards

Richard

Richard, Violator is one of their best. You won't be disappointed. I am just a little pissed off that they are only doing ONE UK date as part of the WORLD tour this year (and I can't make it as I am doing a 10K charity run the next morning).
