Despite the appearance a very prolific band (see the Brainwashed site for details).
For a long time their records were impossible to find and after John Balance died i thought nobody wanted to produce them anymore.
But now i see there're some around.
At a very high price but it's better than nothing.
Are you shivering?

Vinyl and CD ~ lp12 vs cdi

~<>~

It's a close contest, the lp12 is doing some nice things the cdi does not, but overall the cdi is performing more class, and is slightly more enjoyable musically.
The lp12 is running in a new cirkus, hurcules, and dyna, so lets give it time : )

Momus' "Classic songs revisited" or "Slender Sherbet".

Gianluigi,

Steven Wilson has recorded Guitar Lesson as one of his Cover Version singles. It is disturbingly beautiful. Is there a range of styles on this CD and would you recommend buying?

I only have Voyager from him, but I knew I had heard this song before... and here is where I found it:

I should definitely look for the original!

Ok Denis.
Yes, i would buy it only for the song.
I can't find an mp3 sample of the song to link you but the track is beautiful.
This song is completely different from what i call the Momus style.
You have to listen to it.
imho

Gian, thanks.

I had been looking to buy both Slender Sherbert & Stars Forever. It's good to know another track from SS is recommended. No Momus stuff on Spotify Smile
