How do you like it Haim? - a rather good recent ECM IMHO. He is playing next month in London so think I might venture out and catch this group live.

It might be selling quickly, it did in 2004. I just bought a few tickets (standing/dancing) as I know at lots of friends who would want to go, and I doubt those will be enough. If fund allow, it might just be worth grabbing a couple of tickets right now.
Tickets are £35 each, so far less than some tours I have seen for sale this year, and you also will get to see one of the few bands who are as strong now as they have ever been, not just a cash in with session musicians grinding it out.
Ralf Hütter might get so excited on this tour that he actually moves, or even taps his foot, he did last tour.
The festival looks interesting for others here too. Elbow, De La Soul, Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson, Antony and the Johnsons, Duritti Column, Rufus Wainwright.

Manchester International Festival 2nd July.

You really must see them live if you have not! I have been lucky enough to see them twice, incredible sound and stunning visuals. Although there is only one real guy left as Florian recently quit, it does not mater much as they are all really robots anyway..... they are to electronic music what the Beatles are to rock, so do what you can to get up to Manchester, try to get in a good position in the venue, and take a trip to the future whilst listening to many songs that +/- 30 years old.
cheers

Very good idea, Adrian, since the music is so good, though I am not sure about you staying up so late. It is 10 PM here and in a few minutes I will be crawling into bed.
Good night.
