Mark,
Is that another one from the Brighton trip?
Stu
Mark,
You are certainly exploring some new areas at the moment. What was that one with the dangerous dog on the cover the other day?
Richard
Hi Richard,
A lot of the stuff I am playing lately was picked up from Resident records in Brighton. I am on their mailing list now and each week they send a mail with a link to a lot of new releases, with a description of each so I had a good idea of what I wanted when I went in there. It's a fantastic music store and I thoroughly recommend checking out the website. There is a lot of interesting music coming out, much of which you don't get to hear about. So far I have been pretty impressed with what I have bought, some might need a few more plays - but great to listen to new music.
The album you ask about is "Face Control" by Handsome Furs. Good review here Face Control

For me they were to loud and over produced by a deaf bloke.
The cds were even worse.![]()
Sounds encouraging munch. I'm not playing very loud at the moment, so I can't really tell. The packaging is superb though.
Regards
Richard
As for the CDs I can only agree with Munch. The packaging is nice but the CDs are basically unlistenable. A real shame - stay with the original mastering.

Sun Kil Moon (Mark Kozelek) 'April' (2008 - still definitely my favourite release from last year, in fact my favourite release since 2001 when 'Lateralus' and 'Old Ramon' were both released).
Very calming on the drive over the Pennines back from a read through in Manchester on what could be a very funny new comedy series.

Hi Floid
'Secrets of the Beehive' is both an excellent album, and a lovely recording. I always take that along to demo new kit.
