On ECM - a little known gem - one of my favourite releases on the label

Been converting some of my old vinyl into digital format for the iPod. I would do a lot more of this if it did not take so long.

...didn't really take to this sort of music in the 80's, but right now this sounds quite okay on this minty vinyl that cost me less than 10p : )

I've made it through 2 of 4 days.

Dinner is tomorrow night. First time in a while that I'm getting some listening time.

Black Triangle

Black Triangle, fantastic sound - it gives the DCC's and MoFi's a run for its money.

A true classic (don't see it much on here...what on earth's the matter with you?
) Triple black...

Played it a few days ago, Mat - first time in ages, though. Still sounds good.

Re Loreena McKennit - The Visit
I already have a CD-R and was looking to get the CD/DVD as you mentioned earlier, unfortunately HMV/TopDog are OOS at the moment. Hopefully next week.

My favourite drumming ever, not for flash 'chops' or solos, but for playing in sympathy with the music, and adding character.
If you have a little time, it is interesting to try and follow the snare beats in the title track 'Close to the Edge', unless you have learned to play it, you will probably find it hard to hit four consecutive snare beats.
If you have learned to play it, your name will probably be Bill Bruford. Alan White never managed to get the feel for the opening section, good drummer as he is.

Mat Cork. Leffield: A true classic (don't see it much on here...what on earth's the matter with you?
I must admit that I prefer the second album, I like the more ambient drifty feel to it, set against the very simple hard beats.
