So which is the Cheese? & more to the point what do you think of it?

the vinyl is definitely the cheese Cool , lots of variety, but not of the "cheesy" kind. Chalk is the MP3 version. Too much going on to make sense of this music. This is my introduction to Animal Collective, right up my street. I think it will take lots of listening sessions to fully engage with this. you hear new sounds on each session.

Same here I could not make head nor tail of it the first time MGMT was easier on the ear!

I swear I have not started drinking yet, but is that cover actually moving when you look at it or have I truly begun to loose it ?

Sadly one of the reasons i chose vinyl to see this in the flesh. Still "works" as an optical illusion, but not as well as on a screen. Reminds me of "mushrooms" as much as cheese Eek

I have to agree. I caught them at V festival a few years ago and they blew me away (not easy as I'm jaded and bitter)

From Andy Sheppard to Charlie Parker...

Still, IMHO, the greatest jazz album ever recorded.

Norman Granz + JATP + Verve + Oscar Peterson, Barney Kessel, Ray Brown, Alvin Stoller, Benny Carter & Ben Webster (and others) and the result is utterly magical. If you ever see this album for sale, buy it!

a hint worth the money, Adrian. How often did I have this in my hands, and was wondering...

Now, I know I do not have to buy it. In these times...

thanks,
