The Genesis Hammersmith 1976 recordings only recently became available to the public, both the Pre-FM of part of the show, and a soundboard, slightly lesser quality, of the complete show. (both free trade only, no bootleg profiteering - I hope).

Not a question that can be answered specifically on this forum, sorry. 'Google' will always provide some answers, and failing that a few emails around this place will bring answers. I don't wish to be cryptic, but each house has its own rules, and some are out of bounds in this place.

Looks like someone else has had their DVD recorder pointed at the excellent Rockpalast.(www.Rockpalast.de) broadcasts too, re the Gillian Welsh and Natalie Merchant shows.

Oliver,

I know for a fact that Adrian keeps quite a few regular ECMs as well in his filing hall. We are having snow here tonight, I bet you are not.

Regards,
Haim

Haim,

seen pictures from Fargo on the news, March and still ice & snow and now floods. Frown

We are in autumn but have another sunny day in the 80s.

Greetings from down under ... Oliver

Thanx Jamie, I understand. I remember when I was in university and Napster was all the rage, I found a 'Trick of the Tail' show from Paris, or somewhere in France I think. Brufurd was possessed,... like he said to himself before ' Dance on a Volcano' - " I have a snare drum, and I am going to use it " ! I have always been scared to get into collecting that kinda stuff as I can be a bit of a completist....

Oh, and about my Sylvian/Mills box that you noticed earlier, have you seen Eno's "77 Million Paintings" ? I think you would really like that. We have a projector here and project it on a large wall often, never the same image twice, ever, and every once in a while it is a stunning image. Quite a few people that have come over have purchased one the next day. It is Mac only , and you have to be able to set it up with your TV or projector, but it is worth it. Look it up if you don't already have it. Now, if they would only release "Steel Cathedrals" on DVD.........

Julie London:Julie is her name
Still waiting for the reissue, but meanwhile, the original pressing is pretty good. I have a feeling that it would have been better in mono.

I would welcome some re-issues on CD as well. In the meantime this one will have to do.

After silencing a music industry crowd while performing at the 2006 In The City event, Manchester based singer/songwriter Karima Francis was snapped up by Kitchenware Records who release her debut album 'The Author'. Recorded at the legendary RAK studios with producers Bacon & Quarmby (Richard Hawley, James Yorkston) Francis takes her simple acoustic compositions and turns them into fully realised songs, while managing to keep the deeply personal feel of the originals intact.
