A great 4CD set of all the Giuffre/Hall studio sessions (seven original albums in total). Great to listen to in its own right, but also fascinating for the hints it contains of the more "out there" sound that Giuffre was to pursue in the 60s and beyond. The term "quiet revolutionary" must have been invented for Giuffre - hearing these recordings makes me respect his achievement even more.

Regards
Nigel

This is one good album and as I sit here with the lights dimmed in front of the system, it confirms to me just how special those live shows were.

Special stuff. Think I will order the DVD.
