Already stated, Olliver Cheatham "Get down saturday night". I have a 7:32 version on tape from a compilation called "Street Sounds" edition 5 from my youth (1983) also contains Brass Construction "Walkin the line"

I have alot of records (electro etc) from that era, but no Streetsounds Electro albums, but I have a few otehr things that you may like. I also have LP to CD recording capabilty.
I have a best of streetsounds electro on CD somewhere.

Again, I have about 5 cassettes of Streetsounds electro, no lp's though. I couldn't afford a decent TT at the time, wouldn't have been portable either.

I have Streetsounds Electro 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Crucial
& UK Electro.
The UK Electro one is particularly sought after, having some precursors to the Northern Underground House scene. I also remember an ACR connection?
A good CD complilation is "Absolutely Electro", a 3 CD set of electro classics.
If I had the time and energy I would make a set of CDs of these, but turntable time is at a premium now with a Lingo at Linn for mending.

Whilst browsing today at Virgin Express (no purchases!) I noticecd that Room 5 feat. Oliver Cheatham is now released as aCDS, with a few mixes.
I will hold out for a vinyl version, as usual.

My god, I would love to have a copy of those Electro Albums. I have a decent record player and a CD Recorder, David has the albums, can we work something out?

I have all the necessary components except one.....
I have the vinyl, the record deck, the phono preamp, the preamp, a professional CD recorder, blank CDs
BUT not the time to do it! Other interests and going out limit my free time!
I will probably be able to turn out one or two CDs a week.
BTW I often see the odd ones out of the Electro series on vinyl in the Record & Tape Exchange in London & Manchester. The trouble is, they want £25 - £30 each LP!

Yes that is a cracker, but I still prefer the next track, B-Boysbeware - always a favourite.
The track on UK Electro that still stands the test of time is 'Music' by Syncbeat, produced by Pete Ramon. Now where else has he cropped up?
