Wayne Rooney £750000 in debt ( allegedly ) Who cares?....

I certainly do not.
Are we likely to see him shot in some back alley because he failed to pay a debt back? this depends on how bad his addiction is, I mean ok here we have a young lad with the world at his feet, and a wallet to carry around it.
A while back he was alleged to have frequented a prostitute, his defence was said to be his age, he was going through a phase.
Now we have this gambling debt situation, ofcourse it has been pointed out that he could pay it back in a month, and that is without his sponsorship deals etc;
I just see a similarity in this story and the lives of paul gasgoyne, paul merson and the late great george best.
But as I said, I don't care, does anyone?

That is the best post I have ever read about football.
Damn straight! Way better than I could write - mine usually goes on about braindead morons with evacuated orbs placed on their shoulders kicking a gas-filled orb into a fiber-strung receptacle
Eric - I want to buy you a pint! All non-football-fans should club together

LOL when and where?
Well that first post was a just a warm up for the real carefully considerd rant which I had a mind to post but I got side tracked with other matters. Yes, let's form an anti football er...league, club, division and call it FHU. Football Haters United or some such. We can wear FHU shirts, hats and scarves and get ourselves an FHU tatoo or two thus having more tatoos than brain cells. We can dress our children up like this too and all go out together wearing our tribal shirts and little else even in the freezing cold to show how hard we are. Let's get drunk and pick fights with other groups of football haters or indeed anyone wearing different shirts. It could be fun. United! United!

Me too. Except, hate is probably a bit of a strong term (and I'm not sure I want to go round picking fights with people), I'd rather maintain an air of studied indifference towards the whole silly enterprise.
regards, Tam

We could all dress up in our matching track suits and meet on Saturday mornings in Argos.

We could unless we had an appoinment at the clinic.
After we have met in Argos we could loaf next door to trough at McDonalds. They have bouncers in McDonalds but that dont bovver me cos I got a pregnant teenage sister in the Gurkhas, or should that be I've got a teenage sister pregnant? I'm getting confused now.

Uncle Sams down that little road leading to the seafront was way better IMO. Not enough room to swing a cat but the burgers were good. No chavs and no bouncers (and no gurkins with knives either)
