Great stuff. I love listening to multitracks.

There's a Sgt Pepper version doing the rounds that has the multitracks of some of the songs on that album. "The Record Producers" on BBC Radio 2 is always an interesting listen as well.

Not exactly hi-fi but very listenable none the less.

Thanks Blueknowz, the rest of the site looks interesting too!

Also thanks to Redmires - had never heard of "The Record Producers" on BBCR2 - they really should publicise this type of program more, possibly in the specialist press such as Uncut or Mojo rather than bury it away in the Radio Times.

Wll look out for the next series.

The Record Producers - there's been some excellent programmes in the last couple of years. They have access to the master tapes and follow the recording process as the song is built up. The 10cc one featured a deconstruction of "I'm Not In Love", playing the multitracks that went into the track. Fascinating stuff.

They are often repeated on BBC 6 as well, but nothing at the moment.

Helter Skelter anyone? There is also a video of a 1964 concert on iTunes

"I got blisters on my fingers" Smile

Just when I thought I had heard everything by the group. Brilliant stuff. Lennon was no bass player, was he !

Anyone know where to get the 28 minute version ?

Beatles Live 1964

I've been doing a bit of delving thanks to this thread. Probably for the serious fans only but the multitrack files are around from the Beatles X-box game (including Helter Skelter and many more). They're in Mogg format and when opened with Audacity, give you the multitracks to isolate and play around with. Links would probably get pulled so a google for Octaner and Blog may help Winker

Clapton's guitar track on "While my Guitar" anybody .....

Breathtaking stuff !!!!!
