Interesting Old Naim Article

Just came across this old article by chance. There is a link to it via the NASG but as it seems to have been only recently put on the web it might be worth drawing attention to it:

Particulary liked the bits about having been a racing driver and no formal training in electronic design. I have spent a year in univerity about electronics and I can tell you, he didn't miss much!
At least I learned that trying to design HiFi better than all the others would be very hard indeed. Soo, I became a computer programmer instead.

shagadelic

it's so funny Naim started with this silly idea to find a way to match the light flashing with the music - one of those terrible shagadelic ideas of the sixties (there were also ideas at the time for changing the colors of the light gradually to turn women on. As if you need all that equipment... roll eyes )

Interesting his point about a 62 being pretty much the same as a 32 (sounds as good) but with less facilities.

And thereby ensuring you earn enough money to be able to buy the HiFi your heart desires wink

Think of me while you're tapping the keys smile
