Where can I find Van den Hul OPTOCOUPLER Mk II in London?

Posted by: QTT on 27 January 2009

Hi,
Does any of you know which shop in London that sells the Van den Hul OPTOCOUPLER Mk II (glass toslink with mini plug)?
It is almost impossible to find it here in the US?
Since I am about to visit London, I think it is a good idea to come and hear it in person.
Thanks,
QTT

QTT,

I purchased one by mail order from the UK to the US. I used Google search to find Divine Cables (which may be associated with Divine Audio). I do not know the location of their storefront. Hope this helps.

Thanks Charlie. Does it sound better than the plastic one?

I prefer it to both the optichord and the white cable from Apple (which I think is from Monster, not sure). Te VDH costs about the same as the Chord.

Cheers,

Charlie

They are actually Canadian.

Yes that is right, they are based in Canada. If you go to the van Den Hul website there is another company named as the Canadian distributor and Bluebird is listed as the Americain distributor.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. At this moment, I am in London now. So it is time for exploring the goodies, especially with the weak pounds Winker

i use this cable toshlink on one side and mini jack on the other. fantastic cable sound better than my chord prodac digital coax cable. in the UK it sells for £55 but not sure if many will stock it with mini jack. i had to order mini without demming it but its not a great deal of money is it.
