Getting my NS01 to see my new NAS

Posted by: Cjones on 18 September 2010

So everything is working fine. NS01 is playing, showing up on the network. At the same time, the NAS and all my other connected devices are also showing up on the network... So everyone can see everyone else, but the Naim NA01 unit cannot seem to recognize the NAS. I have tried forcing it, but I get an error message, asking for a Ip address, but it won't let me add one. Is there something that I need to do to the NAS?

All I can think is have you allowed on the nas read and write for the shares you want the NS to use?

I got it, sort of. NS01 now sees the NAS, though the music on the drive isn't showing up in the Music Library. This might take a while?

For example, two files in say, the Zeppelin folder, one from the NAS and the other from the NS01 and the only one recognized on the NS01 is the one I transferred from the NS01.
