Increasingly following peoples upgrades that have not fulfuliied their expectations, I read advise from forum members sying things like:
Upgrade your stand
Loose your fuse
Add a seperate spur
Tweak your room
etc. etc.
I think this is misguided, one should do these optimising tweaks before an upgrade in order to maximise existing kit, then the true upgrade will be shown.
Example
A new black box on a new spur with no fuse will sound beter than an old black box with no spur + fuse, but will it sound that much better than an old black box with spur less fuse.
You get the picture.
Lads (and Ladies) lets try not to justify upgrades that dont give bang for buck, it only makes those non belivers who say "how much?" have more of a case against us.
