Naim interconnect/snaic differences

Could anyone explain why Naim use a different component interconnect to the power lead snaic and what are the sonic differences. Obviously I know the snaic carries current also but the actual lead is of a different quality to that carries the signal. What I'm asking is has anyone tried an adapted snaic to connect components?

Richy,
Both inter-connects are designed and optimised for different purposes. I'm sure if there was any useful benefit from inter-changing them we would have heard about it on the forum long ago.
