Question to HDX owner

Hi lucky owners;
short question...is it possible with the new SW to browse folders/subfolder for music like:
\
\pop
\jazz
\classic
I---Bach
I---Mozart
----Piano Sonata
etc?
i really havd bad tagging with my mp3/wav files so it would be big effort to get away from my organization....(some tags are f.ex. classic, some klassik (german), some opera or oper)...
thx folks

If all those folders are shared, then yes, but maybe not in the way you want. The HDX finds everything in your shares, but displays them all as one big library - it won't be sub-divided into Pop or Jazz unless you do that with tagging Genre for example but that would pick up your bad tagging I suppose
Actually, I just had the opposite problem - re-organising and converting the Music Store so a Media Server could work with the files. Fun - not.

Hi Nero;
thanks for the info.....
would be cool if Naim could change this:-)
if so, a hdx w/ssd would be on my list!

I think there are some applications around which will easily retag your files correctly?
I used dBPoweramp to batch tag according to folder/subfolder names and it wasn't too painful...
I doubt Naim will change it, unless they're working on a revamp of the DTC to make it more universal - it seems a fairly sparse bit of software at the moment IMHO

It automatically enters a genre from the aquired tag info and a category can be searched via Browse Music/Genre. About 30 genre and you can add your own. This can be searched for the entire library or after subdividing by music location if you'd like to be more specific. All the tagging is auto but if you'd like to change or create a genre it's quite easy via the DTC.
