Gotan Project

The new Gotan Project album (Lunatico) is thoroughly excellent (and possibly even better and more accomplished than the mega-selling Revancha del Tango, albeit somewhat 'more of the same').
Even better news is that the vinyl pressing is tip-top quality and sounds amazing.
The music is a near-indescribable sort of Parisien cafe / Argentinian tango combo with touches of Yann Tiersen-esque squeeze box, sensually busty breathy vocals, and more than a whiff of "herbal" gauloise about it. I'm sure amazon or similar would have snippets, although you have probably already heard some sampled or used on telly. Different and groovy.

agree with this review totally - been flogging the 2 disc Lp of this to bits, and I ordered it by mistake, thinking I'd ordered it on CD!
