Thom Yorke - The Eraser. I just cannot quite believe how bad this is!! Atonal, self indulgent, tuneless, terrible lyrics. Unbelievably this has been voted on the Mercury Prize short list, have they actually listened to it? I bought this on vinyl played side one and cannot bring myself to turn it over. Radiohead have made two excellent albums before going all experimental and unfortunately throwing away everything that made them great.

I think I like you people. I also liked the Bends but since then I think they are the most overrated band of all time. And what little I heard of Yorke's latest was mindless noodly crap. And yet the critics all rush to pretend they've seen some hidden depth and meaning in it. Utter tosh.

Who are the music industry Mafia who push this theory that Radiohead are this generation's great band?
I've yet to meet a single person who believes OK Computer is better than The Bends (and believe me its cropped up in conversation with a wide range and number of music types over the years).
I've also yet to find anyone who thinks Kid A or Amnesiac are anything more than a pile of unlistenable shite.
