HDMI cables...

...just use the one supplied with the SKY HD box, HD player etc. or is it worth spending a few more pennies on one?

For a short run (2 metres or less) try the supplied cable and see what you think. I confess I've got one 2m "audiophile" quality and one standard, and I can't see any difference between them. People claim that a long run requires a better cable although I'm more inclined to think that some sort of booster is more appropriate. Remember it's a digital signal you're dealing with.
Go with whatever you think is better.

My sister has a PS3 going to a Toshiba Regza 32" job via an Onkyo TX-SR605. Replacing the relatively cheap but not out of the box HDMI cables she had with Chord's HDMI Silver Plus gave worthwhile gains in reduced motion blur, reduced noise and better colours.
Must remember to buy her a DVD-setup disc for Christmas! These are well worth considering for high res systems.

May borrow a couple and see how it goes.
