Around the time of the autumn internationals Ruddock was talking about his contract negotiations IIRC. He said that they were nearly there, but a few things still needed to be sorted out. Obviously these negotiations broke down and here is the result.
You can always rely on the WRU (without Moffett)to mess up anything that's starting to go right. The only positive is that Scott Juohnson is held in very high regard by the players and so his appointment as caretaker will go down well. Perhaps he can be persuaded to stay on, but he's hinted quite strongly that he wants to back to Oz when his contract expires.

Kev,
I agree with you regarding the WRU, their a total and utter shambles. Some reports I,ve heard on the radio seem to point to something more sinister regarding player revolt, although this has been denied. The timing of the departure just two games in, also gives weight to this theory.
It will interesting to see how the players respond next time out, and whether this will affect Hensons return to the starting line up.

I rather assumed that he'll be on the front page of The News Of The Screws next weekend and was making a hasty exit. Am I wrong? What's it all about, anyway?
