Nope. I have mixed feelings about Treme. On one hand it looks like a meaningful story, otoh its existence in relation to The Wire feels like borderline exploitation. I'll wait 'til I hear some more impressions about it.

It's an authentic slice of New Orleans. Not the whole story for sure, but a bit of it.

I wandered into Treme many years ago and fell in love the neighborhood.
The show is great, and has a few native NO actors in it. I love the cameos they're getting too -- McCoy Tyner, Elvis Costello.

Wish I could get it here in the UK. I am a huge fan of David Simon's work from 'Homicide. Life on the Street' as author and later producer, through to 'The Wire' and 'Generation Kill'.
Can't wait to see this one, especially as I love jazz.
