AV2 input response ?

Posted by: Roy Donaldson on 08 October 2003

Hi there,

I have a couple of questions on the user input side of the AV2 interface. I have programmed my Philips Pronto up with all the control codes for the unit and I even using this, I still find the unit slow to respond to power on commands.

Another thing, is when pressing the Input select button, the unit immediately stops the current output signal. You then select another input and then it switches over. This is annoying if you want to only check which input you are on. Is it not possible to have it switch inputs as you release the Input button ?

Cheers,
Roy.

Hi Roy,

1) standby is a press+hold command and therefore requires a continuous RC5 stream.
2) a single press on the OSD button scrolls through current settings (including input and mode) on the display

Hope this helps.

On any remote (even the Naim one) you need to press the Standby key for about 1 second for the AV2 to react.
I`m working on that, because it is a problem in macros.
For the input, you can program a direct access to the input (input+digit).
To display the selected input, use the OSD key, it doesn`t cut anything.

For the Pronto 3000 or 950 users, download the last firmware, it solves the bouncing problem with hardkeys. On previous version it was imposible to adjust the AV2 volume one step at a time.
