Extension leads

Chaps,

In the corner of my living room I have 4 sockets on the back wall right corner and two on the right wall. All go back to their own spur at the consumer unit. I recently bought a bog standard 4 way extension lead to fit on the right wall so as to have TV/Sky/Video only using one socket. Said Extension lead has 'surge protection', will this affect the sound of the Audio components plugged in on the same spur?

Thanks for any help

Why not listen, the use of your ears is the best tool.
If you can't hear any difference between the two setups, use the one you want.

Mark,

yes, it doesn't make any difference if the protection is in-line with the hifi (system plugged into extension lead) or on another socket on the same spur, it should still have the 'Lingo effect' and have some effect.

This is the theoretical answer, anyway.

Is there any reason why you need to use an extension with surge suppression>
