Manchester Utd

I didn't think they played very well tonight. AC Milan on the other hand were very good.

Come on Liverpool - who by contrast to Man Utd were rather good last night. Chelsea on the other hand weren't

Have I got a future as a Pundit on SKY?

It was a display of men against boys.
Sad really to see Angelina more interested in knitting than team football. And where was Rooney?

Do you actually support a team, other than <not Man U>?

I cannot recall you commenting about ANY other team.

Odd.

It was my fault as I told diccus it was a racing certainty that they would get through.
Is this the start of the slippery slope- will they lose the league next

Where was the team that came out against Roma?

United exerted no pressure and didn't close the opposition down at all.

Very depressing as a United fan but probably just goes to emphasise the fact that Brown, O'Shea and Fletcher are not going to make it at this level, Heinze's pace is gone and he can read a game as good as Stevie Wonder.

Denis Irwin was interviewed on RTE before the game and was asked to comment on the notion that the current team was better than the 1999 team. In a Cork drawl he said "I dunno, maybe more individual talent but probably not a better team"
I wonder what the other Cork man would have said.

.....OK mebbe's I'm stating the bleedin' obvious but ...Man U can't perform away from home in Europe and haven't done for years ....

..Liverpool can play well away in Europe but can't in the Prem

....Chelsea decide to play like Wimbledon of old against Liverpool despite spending 20 times as much on players ....The Special One's complex expert tactical advice on Tuesday night? ....

...."Hoof it to Drogba" ....??

I just hope "The other man from Cork" buys Gattuso for us in readiness for next season ..he appears to be as near the sort of player he was that's around at the moment.
.....(I can dream anyway!)

Chelsea don't look like they want to win that either,so I shouldn't worry.

I'm starting to recover my senses after Chelsea's abject display on Tuesday.

I'm not so much disappointed at going out as to how we went out. I just cannot fathom what was going through the the teams minds. Sure this season they've not shown as much team skill as they have the previous two but we've been grinding out the results and usually look like winning whether it's 2-1 or 4-0. But I've never seen anything like that since Jose arrived. Wa's goin' on?

I don't normally contribute to the football posts seeing as my team haven't really played football for the last few seasons (Leeds Utd.).

But here are a few of the quips you'll all have no doubt heard today.
Man U had a premonition when they signed the deal with their new sponsors AIG - Almost In Greece.
The Champions League 3rd & 4th place play off will take place at Wembley on May 19th. Oops, actually that's the FA Cup Final.
