Renown blues artist Koko Taylor passed away yesterday in Chicago at age 80. She was one of the pioneers and always put on a terrific show.

Hopefully they'll bury her in one of her favorite pair of houseslippers. I always liked her big fuzzy purple ones. My favorite story about her is after she'd settle the deal for payment on a show, she'd stuff the cash, and only cash, in her bra. Always gave a great show.
