Test CD

A friend of mine has a HI FI News test record for turntable set up which from all reports is excellent to help set up a turntable.
I noticed at a stereo store last week that there was a "test cd" to test the function and setup of your cdp. Has anyone used one of these and are they worth bothering with?

...Test CD3 from StereoPhile magazine. Its $11.95 now, cheap compared to others, and has test tones, a burn-in track, a demagnatization track and a bunch of other stuff. Some fun music too
