I think this CD was also given away a couple of years ago. If so it is a good sampler of BVSC for anone who does not know them.

....and what a lovely watch it is, not just for the performances but the sense of a lost generation and fading culture; an impression made all the greater now that several of the stars have died.

I also found it a rather uplifting portrait of old-age, a reminder that the flesh may be weaker but the fires still burn, musically and emotionally!
