Skipping cdx

About two months ago my CDX starts skipping. Actually its not really skipping as the time on the display runs. its just the music stops for a second and then plays on. So I send it back to naim en they put a new laser unit in.
The player is back, but the problem is not solved.
It happens about 2 or 3 times during the playing of a cd.
any thoughts on this?
