Hi,

I see Radio 6 are doing this so I thought it would be interesting to discuss it here. Who do you think would be good for the opening ceremony?

I see Muse are keen. I think they would suit the sense of occasion and the spectacle. Yes, George we know you hate them!

The whole fiasco is a huge waste of money and resources that could be better used elewhere.

What about Bernard Cribbins then? He did a cracking series of songs a few years ago, one of which was all about digging a hole.

Truth to tell I can't take the whole 2012 Olympics thing that seriously. Other than the impact it is going to have on TV schedules, there is little chance of my part of the world either benefitting from them or being involved in them. As for the logo....words fail me.
