Dear Friends,

Yesterday I posted a thread, which I hardly felt up to the task of writing.

I don't want to bring it back to the top, and so am writing this reply here.

This is just to say thanks to those who replied and and answered, and also to those who simply read it without replying. From that thread you will see why sometimes I find it hard to get into debates here on such issues. I am somewhat emotionally effected by it all, so thanks for the gentle replies, but I had to try to report it I think, in reality. Yes thank you all.

Thanks for that, Bob.

Fred, I genuinely had no idea as I've not been on the forum much lately. The smiley in my post is inappropriate in the circumstances but I can't now edit my post.

My apologies.

hi fred,
i know its not on the same scale but i took my young daughter along to the imperial war museum where they had a special exhibition all about the holocaust which she and i found very humbling and moving. so i can understand your feelings at this point. my daughter just said one thing WHY?. to which i had no answer, how on earth do you even start to explain to a 12 yr old how evil the world can be !!
best regards, scotty

I am too young to have been there at the time, but I visited a number of memorials in Europe and can only say that I cannot believe things like still happen.

Thank you Fred for reminding us that we should never forget.
