Hi,

We have a great new addition to the Naim label catalogue. Havard Gimse is a brilliant young musician who has established himself as one of Europe's leading international pianists.

His numerous awards and accolades include the European piano competition, the Steinway prize and the prestigious Grieg prize.

In this, his third album for the label, he plays:

Haydn Sonate No 60 in C Major
[B]Mozart [B]3 Rondos
[B]Beethoven [B] Sonate no 14 in C Sharp minor Op 27 No2 (Moonlight)

Havard interprets the Sonatas from the three composers disc with warmth, passion and vitality in equal measures; his style and skill never wavers. Ken Christianson recorded our latest release live and direct to two track Nagra tape machine, providing yet another opportunity from The Naim Label to hear a winning combination of musical and technical talent.

Gimse's projection of tone, judgment of rubato and control of colour are enthralling - Gramophone

Havard Gimse is among the most eloquent and imaginative of Norwegian pianists - BBC Music Magazine

This isn't really the sort of music that I'd normally listen to but I really enjoyed this one

Hi,

I much prefer having an album of works by only one composer.

I thought Havard's Grieg cd was excellent.
