Mark,
That kind of passion and heart on the sleeve response seems sadly lacking these days. The interview is glibly said to be when Keegan "lost it".
What people forget of course is the gamesmanship from Ferguson which effectively said that Leeds were going to roll over and allow us to win. In other words we could only win with the help of others, and in effect would "cheat" our way to the title. At the time that kind of behaviour was pretty shocking, and every Newcastle fan knew what Keegan was trying to say.
Nowadays the "mind games" are just another tactic, and seem to be excepted as perfectly justifiable, if not gentlemanly.
I was at the Leeds game that night, and although their fans wanted us to win because they hated Manure so much, there was no rolling over on the pitch. I was also at the Forrest game a few days later and nearly ended up divorced (because of the amount of away games I went to that season), as well as broken hearted.
There has never been as much excitement at Newcastle as those seasons under Keegan, but we still did not win anything. Sometimes I wonder if we ever will in my lifetime.

Diccus,
Have you seen the long version? It is quite a funny wind up from some guys down the road, but they are definitely not from Liverepool
