Touchscreen pc with HDX DTC

Posted by: Scoville on 16 April 2010

Hello

I´m looking for a alternative touchscreen remote for my HDX.

The question is if I use for example a "ASUS Eee PC T101MT" (OS windows 7) with the Naim DTC installed can I use the touchscreen to navigate (play, next, pause...) the DTC?

Or is the touchscreen option on the pc useless and I have to go the I-phone / I-touch (maybe I-Pad?) route in conjunction with the HDX App?

You wouldn't need the DTC to do basic functions like play, pause etc. If the device supports Flash, then use the normal front panel served from the HDX. A number of devices will do this OK - a search of the forum will find a few, like Nokia etc
I don't know the Asus but I guess it's a netbook, which should be OK

Any pc, netbook, notebook, etc.. can be used to fully control the HDX with the IPUI or DTC software programs.

The only thing you cannot do is control volume and other pre-amp functions which you can use the remote for.

PS: the DTC is for the pc, netbook, etc... only you cannot access it via the HDX front screen panel.

Thanks for the answers.

The opportunity to use web browser Interface slipped my mind...

Yes, the "ASUS Eee PC T101MT" is a Convertible-Netbook.

I think I will go this route then.
