Spurless in Seattle

Posted by: bec143 on 01 December 2003

Sorry for the bad pun. Any fellow Seattlites had any experience with putting in a dedicated spur and have an electrician they can recommend? I'm in a 1907 Capitol Hill House with the typical mix of knob and tube and updated bits.

Thanks,

Bruce

Good Day:

Have you checked with Hawthorne Stereo to see if they can recommend anyone? It’s a great store and they probably know someone.

Good Luck

Bruce,

I Did my own but everything was open in the basement so it was very easy. But when we ran electrical in our basement, lights and sockets all around with conduit, I hired out. I can map a circuit but electricians are paid well because they are skilled. What he did (I helped some) in basically eight hours, it would have taken me 24 and it would not have been as elegant.

I used a fellow named Chris Valentino who was recommended to me by a friend. I recommend him to you.

He is probably booked until February.

How far do you need to run the spur?
