Streaming files into Supernait

Current set up- Supernait with Squeezebox 3 Ethernet- via QED Coaxial into SN DAC. Server is Dell PC with 300gb hard drive connected via USB.

Would it be better sonically if I used my laptop with hard drive attached and use SPDIF into the SN- to take out the Squeezebox?. Also does it make a dfference using a NAS rather than PC with attached storage.

Hi Richard,

my source is a mac mini, via a Supra optical link to the Supernait. Before this, I used a Squeezebox. Im did not noticed any difference in sound. I prefer the Mac (or PC) because of the interface.

It will make no difference wether the music is stored on a local disk or on a Nas.
(I use a nas).
