Steve

I have been wondering about the same thing. Maybe it is time for Naim to get somebody else who can manage it better?

It is also a rather old-fashioned and inflexible format.

I wrote a very long post last night about how with a couple of inexpensive (less than £5) tweaks you could make a 282/200 sound clearly better than 552/500; unfortunately the post was deleted and I can't remember the tweaks I did so can't re-post. Still at least it improved my system - others will just have to buy the 552/500 I suppose.

As one who is occasionally required to read other forums - I am infinitely grateful for that.

This forum, IMO, is by far and away the best I frequent.

The ONLY improvements I see as necessary are;

a] editing extended beyond the current period
b] posting preview

If you wait until the load bar has run its course then maximise the post box - you get a fairly decent canvas on which to work. Firefox allows for spell check.

Yes - it would be nice to be able to preview and I find myself editing initial posts quite a bit.

I would love to be able to institute 'nested quotes', avatars and signatures for those who want them - so long as I could set them to be ignored by those whose interest is limited to communication.

That's exactly what I was getting at Adam.

Yes - but it wasn't what I was getting at. The glitzy options were by way of a punishment.

Damn. Last night I posted a proof of Gilbreath's conjecture and now it's gone!

It has produced a great improvement in my current music thread, deleting away some catty pedantry very nicely!

That's OK ROTF. If it was for a 202/200 combo I'd be mighty upset at this point. Big Grin

So does Safari (which incidentally suggests I change Firefox to Firebox).
