CDS Power Supply Upgrade

Has anybody with a CDS + CDPS had the PS upgraded from 2 regulated supplies to 6 supplies (ie similar to the XPS). I am interested to know if the upgrade offered significant benefical sound enhancements.

Steve,

This is a factory mod recommended by Shiela. She said that the mod would bring the performance of the PS near to the XPS standard. I was hoping that someone may have had it done and could report great benefits in sound quality. The mod costs approx £350.00.

But is it cost-viable?

Naim said that 70% of the cdsps to xps upgrade came from the black burndy, costing £250. Add this to the £350 upgrade and it is probably cheaper to get a used xps which can be had for around £1200 and Ebay the CDPS, which should fetch £600.

Net cost of the upgrade £0 and the XPS will always be worth more in the long run
