DVD recorder?

Any suggestions on a quality DVD recorder unit? I'm looking into a Sony RDR-GX7. I want something I can use to record sporting events from TV and transfer family videos from VHS.

Of course, we all want to see what Naim does with DVD players, and no recorder will be in the same league - but it's still an item I'm interested in. Thanks.

I reckon the technology is still-born.
I would wait for hard-disk storage.
It's a much better idea IMO than yet another disc spinner, and really, who wants to frig around with discs just record Coro Street?
As for rarchiving video, I suppose that's a point in its favour, but can't you do the same thing through a PC?
