EMI Marketing Policy

Wasn't sure whether to post this here on the Padded Cell, but just caught sight of this on Amazon:

Station To Station

I wondered if this was going to be repeated for all the David Bowie albums in due course. Now I would love to have hi-res versions of (almost) all the Bowie albums, and I am more ready than many to pay for the privilege but even I baulk at this!

I realise that we live in a capitalist world and all companies are out there to maximise profits but I can't help but think EMI are shooting themselves in the foot if they don't offer other alternatives. It could be I'm completely out of touch with the 'real world' but feel this type of marketing ploy may be why companies like EMI are in such financial difficulty.
