Anyone else got Epos ES22's?

Just bought a pair second hand last week great speakers.
A wire came loose from the bass driver in one of them today, Boo Hoo going to get it fixed tomorrow.
I'm not too keen on the jumper leads at the back for tri-wiring though.
Any suggestions on getting the best out of them?

I have Es 22s and am very happy with them. Coupled with CD2, 82 2xhicap and 250. They needed a 250 versus a 180 to get really driven. Re triwiring, I had some leads made that bridge the three sockets using Nac 5 as connection. Works fine so you dont triwire. Other than that, enjoy.

I use 22's for a 52/Supercap/250 set-up and have always found them to be superb without tri-wiring. I use the gold bridging connectors supplied with the speakers.
I bought from new about 6 years ago after extensive demos of comparitive speakers being an upgrade from the ES11's. To me they made better music than others over twice the price!
Epos is now owned by Creek Audio and they plan to bring out a new 22 equivalent shortly I believe.
Only a pair of Naim SL2's would persuade me to change as they are the first speakers I have heard since the 22's that I enjoyed listening to.
Enjoy!

Jonni, my dealer made up E-shaped connectors using NAC A5 for me so I don't use jumper plugs. You don't say what power amp you are using but I agree with Jonathan that they will benefit from a 250. As for Peter, with your front end, you will be amazed what 135s will do for them. I also have mine on Mana sound bases that do wonders for them for the relatively cheap price.

Ive used my es22s in rooms ranging in size from 50 sq metres (about 500 sq feet) and down to 18 or so. As long as your poweramp is powerful enough to drive at low volumes effectively, theyve worked fine. Mine are used every day (they provide the sound for my TV) at all sorts of volumes. Its worth opening the box! If not Id be interested in another pair to replace the ES11s in my other system.
