The Hebrew book I'd mentioned previously finally arrived today from er, London, taking 4 + weeks (still in print) and although quite a bit cheaper than I'd anticipated, the size and weight of the thing will send the postage up tomorrow no doubt when I send back it to er, London*

Fritz von Recall my second hand Gurdjeff book from the States to here (Out of Print)(priority post) took er, two days, then on to London (priority post, er 5 days* No weekend).

Bloody Joke really innit*

Ran around some Civil Servants today, who thopught I was a punter from the old dole days, how they're gonna be surprised tomorrow when they find they've been screwing up their own boasses today by not letting me get my work done through sheer arrogance and stupidity* (See Our Mick that's the advantage of being free-willed and short term, you don't have to take the flack)*

When Donald 'Gobshite' Rumsfeldt tried to get Germany to play ball in the Iraq game, and the then Foreign Minister (Green) Joschka Fischer told him (very nervously & bravely in English to get on his bike) it impressed me greatly, not because he's Green (God Forbid) but because he stood up to him, and laid his career on the line big-style (as an ex taxi driver., street fighter & real Politician (Unlike Donny Boy)(Yes Our Andy; Bricks at Coppers too, und?), paid off in re-election with Schroeder though*

Fritz von I'd add this man to the list of possibles in respect of the recently mentioned
World Council thingy, allright he's male, and does spüeak a bit of English, but he's an ex-taxi driver, and unlike most ex Senior Poli's who go into short term-big pay jobs (even at his level) he will now be working as from this minute as a Professor at er, Princeton Uni, arguably America's Finest (if not the World!), so I wonder if Donny will be giving him a stealthy old hard time? cos let's face it he's very vindictive individual, and if you don't see that, you're fucking blind or stupid, or just down right daft (even Bushy doesn't see it)
and I'm sure his Pupils will simply adore him (He & Hillary together would be interesting in conference)

Fritz von This is purely my own work at play here, so no quotes are required, innit*

Long Live Democracy as far as it's possible to transparently maintain in the 'real world'***

Fritz von Lucky I'm not a woman innit!

Lucky there's nothing impotent on, that's the only bug with 'free to air' Sat Tv & Radio, it's all crashed (or been turned off) 3rd time in 4 years so not too bad, she's comin on boig style, we had 36^c ish today, and now Albert needs to level it oot, innit*

Fuck, my keyboard just gave me a wack*

Rain's just hit, I tell you it's quite freaky stuff, just ask the Chief, since the Wall came down the weather's simply crazy* with mega short term Hurricaine force wind bursts etc:

I would imagine people will say who is Mary Robinson? I would say that’s a good choice Fritz. The Irish president, circa 1990 – 1997, and major mover in the human rights arena if my memory serves me correctly?

Gerry Adams is way too busy with problems on his home turf.

Moore, not sure about him, I didn't like the harassment while interviewing Charlton Heston in bowling for columbine. Not clever to belittle someone with Alzheimer's. IMO

I’m surprised that thread is rather quiet, as I feel it’s a good topic.

As for the weather here, we’re in for a change too. I’ll wager the gritters will be out soon, and I’m not joking either as they’ve been known to do it in the past, something about melting tar blah blah…

I deliberately left out Mrs Robinson because she's a true beaurocrat², and although very brilliant I feel, she's never proven herself rather than bullshittin* I refer to her office in the UNHCR etc, and see her as getting nowhere fast more than anybody else. Although I do like what she's about she's got no place in this new order I reckon, Oprah would be far more effective in the real world**

Fritz von Bob & Bono and Beardie & Bill have no place in this group as far as I'm concerned*

P.S. Harrassing Alzheimers patients certainly is counter-productive if you think about it, as well as the thousands who've died through his NRA Bullshit, I'd agree with you if it wasn't for the many interviews he's made since Cilumbine (Heston that is), and no I don't believe a word Mike say's he's an obvious wanker needing Govt therapy*

Fritz,

One thing I feel strongly about is bullying and unfairness at work. You have to spend a fifth of your life at work, so why should it be littered with folk being horrible, moreover being racist.

However the options for dealing with the issue Fredrick raised are with the victim.

Re your IPCC dig: I'll leave it with you.

Agreed - which Is why I challenge such behaviour at work when I see it - I don't accept it so why should anyone else - blindingly obvious or not.

Andi

Please leave it.

I posted to that effect last night. Needless to say I am not at fault, and the issue has been clarified. I am glad that it is finished. Posting it here was a major mistake, and probably the biggest single error of judgement Ihave made on the Forum. So please, you and other friends here, let it pass. That is if your concern is for me and not making a point.

Satan

The hebrew word ha–satan = The adversary/accuser was the description used commonly in the profane-sphere to mark an opponent and especially in cases of an accusation before the court, seldomly for a spiritual entity as with the people commissioned by God advising counter-actively as is written in the Bileam story (appendage 1.4.3.). Here the angel of the Lord twice says to Bileum that he’s walking in contrary step with Satan (Numbers, Chapter 22, verses 22-23). This would generally be out and out translated (interpreted) analagously with hostile deliberation or be actually repugnant to him.

Satan would eventually recieve so-called functions which from earlier texts God too had taken as the pure truth in the verification and the temptations of humanity. He was indeed to begin with certainly not seen as a creature being distant from God. In fact as outlined in the prologue of the book of Job he belongs to the sons of God which assemble in the distant past. Evidentially he had the task of roaming through the world and reporting back to heaven humanity’s performance to date.

As a proper name the expression Satan first appeared in the two books of Chronicles from the 4th century BC (1 Chron, chapter 21, verse 1). He was changed to become an evil angel who before or during the creation of the world went and turned against God. That his rebellion was cast down by the remaining true angels (fallen–angel) and also that his trickery guised as snake to falsely promise woman (Eve) that she too would become a God in order that mankind would fall from grace.

For the evangelists Satan is simply put in one word, evil! Jesus drew him like lightening falling down from heaven (Luke chapter 10, verse 18) and with this secret manifestation he sedated the old snake and the dragon equally.

Prior to his demise Satan was called Lucifer (carrier of light). This name goes back to a satirical song from the book of the prophet Isiah regarding the King of Babylon who by deifying himself subsequently caused his own downfall. Isiah had abviously taken an ancient constellation God-myth who also wished to storm the high heaven. As a matter of fact resulting in excavation in Ugarit, a town on the Syrian Mediterranean coast dating back to the second millenium BC, indications of the falling of a Godly creature with the nickname ‚brilliant‘ were discovered and could well be the actual pre-cursor for this myth!

In cultural art Satan was rarely presented as an optical figure in the pre-christian millennia, with the earliest actual picture being found in an Egyptian church around the 6th century period. It didn’t portray any kind of monster as such, rather a human being with claws and an ironic grin. The Byzantinians were also influenced in the next few centuries though didn’t depict Satan as monstrous in their art and sometimes even as a handsome seducer. These traditions were once again taken up in modern times by the likes of William Blake or Gustave Doré based on the Satan of the middle-ages, where all devillish creatures are recognised by their blue-black pallour and portrayed by an ugly nastiness, with a grimaceing contorted face along with a dragon’s or bat’s wings.

Possibly Our Erik could elucidate further on wether the above text is a load of old bollocks or not, cos I a clue have not, innit. It was originally translated into German from whatever? then to Ingrish (unprofessionally by me)(one of 80+ texts of a similar nature). The point of this is, is how one can actually change history with the slight of wrist if yer gets me drift? Wether King John's bible or the Jewish Holy Texts that I sent to London earlier today €8,60 by the way, will be there in 3 days so-long as the GPO don't lose or nick it* I was aware it was a very special book (it had that feel and smell about it), but also with the old Testament (1000 years of Jewish history) who was official and who wasn't and what was more to the truth?

Bloody Journo's eh?

When brave Railway children like Our Mick hit London without any consideration for their own personal safety I can only but admire them (No Danger Money for me Sir, No indeed)*

Yes the first anniversary of Britain's Oklahoma (that's how I see it) and don't forget Bush was on the Island when it happenned* I personally don't see the four nutters killing themselves and many other in the process last year as a terrorist act so much as one of sheer desperation through misguidedness & ignorance on their parts. Terrorists in my view do not commit suicide and take many other innocent lives with them, they do the latter and live on if possible, or maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so, otherwise the IRA etc would have been knocking out SB's long ago, as they're alway's on target, innit*

Jazz Festival's always inspire me too, enjoy you're second retirement Our Mick, until you find yet another reason to require asome more dosh for a quick fix John, or finally listen to Mrs M;ick and enjoy life Son, yer can't bloody take it with yer*

Regards,

Fritz von Friday night already and Our Adams Brasso's as cool as Mr Cuumberpatch's sarnies, innit*

Fritz me old scholar of antiquities, ancient scrolls and parchment, I have no idea owing to the fact that as you rightly point out:

There is quite alot about Satan (Shaytan?) in the Koran me thinks but I dont know much about the chap. I'm sure he was perfectly decent fellow but has had a bad press perhaps?

quote:

Bloody Journo's eh?

Indeed. The fact is we can't rely on the things we read in our own newspapers (or even Private Eye)about things that (allegedly) happened yesterday so how the **** we are supposed to believe half the tribal warfare* nonesense in the Old Testament is beyond me. If it ain't verifiable through experience it ain't worth a bean imo.

*History is written by the victor innit* but you know all this, although one wonders, aye, one wonders how come poor old Satan had to report back to the boss on how things were going with His creation when the boss is supposed to be all knowing etc. Its all a whopping great can of worms eh?

Talking of which - overheard in a mobile phone shop today:

Salesman - 'It's called "predictive text", you enter the first few digits and the phone finishes the word for you'

Customer - 'Oi Kev, come over ere and look at this, this phone can read yer mind. Fucking awesome'

What a world we live in (as H.J. Simpson said)
