and one woman doesn't cut it for Stephen. He's only interested in three-ways (pref blonde & brunette) anyways, if I'm not mistaken.

Just mention the words "girl-on-girl" and it won't take long for Stephen to appear.

Nick Lees:

I'm not a Canadian, but "Jagged Little Pill" is her best album by a long way, and is very close to being a classic.

nick, many thanks. i'll try the pill !

As (I think) Stephen Bennett said, you really really wouldn't want to be an ex-lover of hers.

hmmmm... confused confused

IMO,

Pill set the standard, Junkie was an abomination and Swept is the best yet.

Yeah yeah, at the time (pill) I bought the album (we all have our skeletons in the closet), heard the airplay (surely strong evidence of payola if there ever was any?), saw it on MTV.

I even went to see her (Mexico City) just to see what all the fuss was about. Band too lazy to actually play together, Alannis strutting the stage, waving her hair back and forth, ending each sentance in "AH" (as in Fi-Ah (Fire), Forev-AH (Forever), Love-AH (lover), and House-Ah (house), Bed-AH (Bed)). Bored rich priveliged teenagers disinterested in actually watching/participating in the performance in front of them preferred to talk on their cellular phones, or show their watches to their girlfriends. Summed it all up really - her and the band sucked.

I thought she was good as 'god' in Stigmata. Mind you, I think it was a mute role.

Don't get us started on ironic, 'kay? cool

I can't stand her either. Some good came out of Cananda, Deon and 'Morose Set' were not part of it.

Read the current New York Times Sunday Magazine: a long feature on "the next Britney" (or Shania, or whatever the market needs), Amanda Latona, and how the majors work & pay to get airplay and create a hit, and a star. (It's also on the NYT website.)

But as Vuk Vuksanovic has pointed out a number of times, he's not Canadian.
He probably doesn't like Red Green or live in an igloo either, so I don't think he's qualified to make such statements.

BTW, nice picture Vuk, I particularly liked the purple filter effect.

...because I do enjoy listening to Alanis Morissette occasionally. I would agree that Pill is her best. I haven't really heard Swept yet. As far as Supposed... goes, I don't think it's as bad as everyone claims. Many of the tracks have pretty good grooves going on.

I must admit, though, that I haven't felt compelled to listen to her much lately.

No, it looks more like Jarvis Cocker with a dodgy syrup.

I think that was Andrew, not me. If it was, it'd be 2 brunettes.

Do you mean 'Dogma' or is she in danger of becoming typecast?

Also, in 'South Park, The Movie', did the Canadian ambassador to the UN apologise for Bryan Adams or was it for Alanis? I have a feeling it was the former but Alanis would have been just as funny.
