Something badly wrong with the system setup ... one should know by now from their experience not to generalize ... even systems of the same brand and model may sound diferent in various environments ...

All the performers are on their knees in my system. I have a mostly non-Naim system (newbie here, but working on it): Nait 3, Rega Planet, Chord interconnect, NACA5, Meadowlark Kestrel speakers. I made the "mistake" of switching several things at once: replaced Primare A10 integrated with Nait 3, SilverSonic interconnects became Chord, and Analysis Plus Oval 12 became NACA5. I'm not sure which piece is the culprit. Or, could be a speaker positioning problem, though they are exactly where they were before I switched things out.
They may be munchkins, but at least the performers are making great sounding music while they are down there... I'll take that over the well-proportioned noise I had before, anyday.
