NAT 01
Posted by: audiogoose on 05 May 2003
I recently purchased a used, chrome bumper 01 Tuner, but unfortunately there was no owner's manual.
The Naim website has a manual for the olive style 01, but not the older model. Can anyone supply this for me, or direct me to a website where it is available?
Thanks for any help.

Have you looked on the naim website?
They have owners manuals on there!!

Please reread my first post. Yes, I checked the Naim website first, but as I noted, the manual listed there is not for the chrome bumper model.
Thanks.

audiogoose, I had a chrome bumper 01 fully updated to current spec olive style 01, done by NANA about 2 years ago. I dont know if they still offer this upgrade, but it was a nice improvement both in sound and looks and now my 01 will hopefully be around for a long time (plus it matches by other Naim components). I know that is not what you are asking but I figured you should be aware of this possible upgrade. Having the chrome bumper 01, what is it that you want to know? david

David:
Thanks for the response. I was hoping to download a copy of the manual in case I ever sell the 01. How much was the upgrade by NANA?

audiogoose, it cost $1650 to upgrade to olive 01. Alot, but you essentially get a new 01 inside and out. No regrets as I use it everyday. How do you like yours? david

I like mine very much the way it is. In what ways does the upgrade improve the sound? I can't imagine it gets a whole lot better.
A previous thread talked about adding an XPS 2 power supply for further improvments.

Audiogoose,
XPS2-T
Pretty amazing!!!
I have had mine for a few weeks now..
It totally transforms the F.M. band...
The difference could be compared to going from
135s(2) to a single 500...
You just have to hear it to believe it.....
There is no other way....
