Three rare birds from the Netherlands

Posted by: Manni on 10 December 2008

Hello all,

The threads "Nice Photos" and "What spezies of bird is this?" encouraged me to show the following pictures made by my friend Norbert Uhlhaas, when he was in the Netherlands for birding.

A red Phalarope, November 2008, Zeeland

Next one, a Blue-Winged Teal, March 2008, Zuid-Holland

and finally a Snowy Owl, November 2008, Texel

Later in December, I was very happy to see this bird as well.

Manfred,

Nice pics, and nice to see you are still around, I know you do not post all that often.

The gang you met in Germany will be getting together next week, unfortunately this time for a funeral, but one that will be a celebration of a very full and well lived life. It is also likely to involve a lot of drinking.

All the best

Nic

Dear Nic,

thanks for your kind words. Please give my regards to the gang Winker.

Best wishes

Manfred

P.S.: The Snowy Owl is a young female.
